Personal Experiences

For me, I’ve only ever been to two resorts in my snowboard life, but they were both fantastic. The one was called Boyne Mountain, which is located in Petoskey, Michigan. The other one is located in Whistler, British Colombia. Boyne Mountain is more of a family orientated place, where they have a wide range of rune anywhere from green circle to double black diamond. A green circle is the easiest run, blue squares are intermediate runs black diamonds a intense, but the double black diamond is for experts only. Meaning the terrain parks, or extremely vertical runs. As to whistler, it is a famous place for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic games will be held their. The Olympics where chosen to be their because the snow is always fresh and the runs are perfect for being able to clear big air. Also the mountain is perfect because it is at a perfect angle for the giant slalom. The only downfall of whistler is the prices to use the resort and the amount of practice needed. At Boyne you can begin their as Whistler it’s for professionals. Some of the runs can take up to 1 hour and a half to get from top to bottom. It is a real test of endurance and perseverance.
