Maintenance

Maintenance is a very important of the sport because if you do not maintain the proper condition of your snowboard you can easily damage the board or worse you can seriously injure yourself. One of the most important thing to maintain is the bottom of the board because when you ride there is many things that can damage the board such as dirt, mud, twigs or branches, grinds, and even the snow you ride on. The snow because when you ride on icier conditions it tends to scratch up the bottom of the board which takes of the wax and gives more resistance and slows you down. And when you do grind the plastic or metal more times then none have either welds or screws holding it together, so those tend to stick out and rip part of the fiberglass of the board which is dangerous because it ruins the structure of the board causing a week point in the board so if you do more grind chances are that is will snap. You should go to a professional to get your board re hot waxed every week or so after being used. Or you should hot wax it before competitions or a big trip.
